Kiss and Make-up
Confidence is often a reason we want to wear make-up. We may have a blemish, scar, pimple, age spot or skin discoloration we want to cover up. Usually we are the only ones aware of this but I find that covering them up does make us more confident and less aware of our perceived flaws. Also using make up to accentuate or favourite features is great for confidence. A little black around the eyes or colour on the lips makes our features more noticeable, more attractive and also makes our communication skills better because of both our added confidence and the fact that our features are more clear and easy to look at.
Men who want to wear make-up have the same right to wear it as women in my opinion, as lack of confidence affects all humans, regardless of gender. I myself find ‘guyliner’ very sexy too.
There is a negative side to wearing make up however. Often people wear it to intimidate people or apply to much and appear foolish, or vain. Make-up and also tattoos tend to fall into the les is more category in my opinion. I suggest the Coco Chanel rule modified for makeup. She said that after you put on your jewelry go and look in the mirror and the first thing that catches your eye, take it off. The same can be said for makeup. If your big bright red lips catch your eye, switch to a softer nearly nude lipstick or gloss. If your black eyeliner or long black lashes catch your eye, go for dark brown or grey and a smoky and not so comic book outline look. If your rosy cheeks look like you have a fever, take half your blusher off. Use your illusion to better your life, not push people away and give them a way to ridicule you. Be the beauty you deserve to be, inside and out and be happy kiddies!
