Naked Lunch…or anytime!
The art of enjoying nakedness
The word naked seems to always connote fear, embarrassment, shame and humiliation. Lately I have been wondering; WHY?
Why do we have fearful dreams of being naked in front of others, usually in school, work or in some other arena where we want desperately to fit in. Where does this shame of our bodies stem from and why do we fear being naked?
Initially I think we are taught this through religion. Most of us within reading range of this blog were taught some kind of Judeo-Christian based religion and, in my opinion, this is religion created to control people through shame and the notion of being born in sin. This is ludicrous. We are born as creatures of light and love. Ever see a child react to a non-human animal, or a butterfly, or other lovely creature who shares this Earth with us? Children are eager to learn and love all those around them. They are not ashamed of their bodies and take delight in the freedom of being unencumbered by clothing. The shame is taught to us. Does it then not behoove us to “un-teach” ourselves that shame and once again take delight in nudity?
I went down to the ‘clothing optional’ beach and had such a freeing experience. Yes, nudity is perceived as sexual and certainly does arouse interest but going beneath and beyond that feeling and delving into and re-connecting with my inner child…my inner NAKED child…I found a peace and freedom in simply exploring and relishing my soul riding around in the naked vehicle that is my flesh body. I made sand castles and gathered stones and I felt the shame slough off of me. It was an incredibly cathartic experience. I highly recommend finding a naked experience of your own. When in phone chat rooms and seeking local singles, why not ask around for a nude beach, clothing optional beach’ or a nudist club? You may even find a partner in nudity!
You will find it’s not about sex. It’s not about shame. It’s not about the controlling BS you were force fed as a child. It’s about YOU and being as happy and free as you were meant to be!
